Rail Specialism
Following the introduction of European Standard EN45545:2013 + A1:2015, J-Flex developed a range of elastomeric products that meet the requirements of this norm, for both Rolling Stock and Trackside applications.
As with all our custom rubber solutions, we have ensured that our products have been fully tested. Not only are they approved to EN 45545-2, which is required for Rail Infrastructure and Rolling Stock Operators, we also have a further 17 certifications.
Fire Resistant, Low Smoke. Low Toxicity EPDM from J-Flex is also supplied in accordance with EN 45545/NFF 16101/DIN 5510/BS6853/ASTM C 1166/ASTM E662/SMP 800‐C – and most have also been tested and approved against the former National Standards DIN 5510-2; NF F 16-101, ECE-R118, BS6853, UL 94 V(0) and NFPA 130 Hazard Rating System.
EPDM, Silicone and Neoprene materials have excellent environmental resistance, withstanding O-zone, UV, rain and frost – meaning outdoor applications such as lighting systems and enclosures are kept water and dust tight. Our materials are resistant to corrosion, moisture, salt, and light fuels.
Naturally we also provide other sheetings and components where conformance with EN 45545-2 is not essential, and can quote you for those also.
