Delivering in Britain for Britain

Siemens Mobility has over 160 years’ experience in the UK rail industry.

We have 30+ sites across the UK in total spanning Southampton to Edinburgh, designing, producing, and deploying track and train mobility solutions.

Our latest location – a new Train Manufacturing Facility in Goole – will provide employment for up to 700 people. We are passionate about bringing new talent into the UK rail industry and developing our workforce’s skills for the future. We invest heavily in educating school children about the opportunities in rail and we currently have over 240 apprentices and graduates in our own business.

We are also investing £100 million in a brand-new manufacturing, digital engineering and R&D centre at Chippenham, where we will build the next generation of conventional and digital rail signalling and control systems for Britain.

We collaborate with around 2,500 suppliers, 52% of which are UK-based SMEs. 92% of all our suppliers are UK based, which supports around 18,750 jobs in our supply chain.
