Transport for London

Transport for London is one of Telent’s longest standing customers. We’ve maintained their communication assets since 1996.

In 2019, we were selected by TfL to manage a wide and complex range of communication assets, including public address speakers, CCTV cameras inside and on buildings, customer help points, and information displays. The seven-year contract began in January 2020 and combines maintenance services, system design and upgrade work to TfL’s communications systems across a range of environments and sites, including all London Underground stations, depots and operational buildings, TfL office buildings, bus stations, river piers, cycle hire stations and the London Transport museum.

South Western Railway

Telent provides preventative and reactive maintenance services to all of South Western Railway’s Station Information and Surveillance Systems assets.

Around 2,500 faults are reported each year that Telent manage. To support the train operator’s requirements, we’re providing a customer-driven service, balancing asset availability and costs.

Network Rail

Telent were awarded a contract from Network Rail to design, install, test and commission free public Wi-Fi for passengers in 19 of Network Rail’s managed stations to help stations become fit for the future. Telent was responsible for all elements of the design from radio coverage, fibre network, telecoms, and civils.

The service provides passengers with excellent, high-performance Wi-Fi, supporting a digital, touchless experience, wherever they pass through these stations. With a simple log-on and single click passengers can access continuous coverage across the entire station, while being protected via a Friendly Wi-Fi to filter mitigating illegal or harmful content, keeping children and their families safe online.

Station staff benefit from a Passpoint network giving them secure, frictionless connectivity, with Network Rail connecting automatically across the station.
