Legato® Interlocking Concrete Blocks

Elite are proud to present the ultimate engineered interlocking block – Legato®, the name coming from the Italian for ‘tied together’.

These high strength engineered blocks are cast from concrete which DOES NOT contain any recycled materials they are designed to provide a solution for a huge variety of projects including block wall flood defence, material storage bays (e.g. aggregates, salt, light scrap metals, wood chip, tyres, white goods, bales, RDF waste, black bag waste etc) blast walls, pendine walls, retaining walls, coastal erosion prevention, push walls, fire break walls as part of Fire Prevention Plans, counter weights / kentledge, salt storage, silage clamps, industrial buildings. They are also suitable for various temporary works for example constructing cofferdams or creating solid barriers between open rail lines and those being replaced thus avoiding the need for disruptive ‘all line blocks‘ by allowing ‘adjacent live line working‘ / A.L.O. (Adjacent Line Open).

Temporary Vertical Concrete Barriers

Elite’s Temporary Vertical Concrete Barriers (TVCBs) are the perfect safety barrier for a huge variety of applications including many types of temporary works and flood defence walls. They also make ideal Vehicle Security Barriers (VSBs), Vehicle Containment Barriers (VCBs) and can be used for Hostile Vehicle Mitigation (HVM).

They are cast from Elite’s highly regarded high strength concrete (50N/mm2) which, combined with Highways Agency specification steel reinforcing means that the barriers meet the component requirements of EN 1317 ‘Compliant Road Restraint Systems for Temporary Safety Barriers’ (when installed by a Highways Agency approved contractor).

TVCBs have a multitude of uses including…

The safety barriers are connected together at the scarf joint by M24 high tensile bolts.

Jersey Barriers

The Elite Jersey barrier is an interlocking heavy duty system designed for the ultimate in anti-vehicle perimeter protection.

Cast from Elite’s standard high-strength concrete (50N/mm2) the barriers are quick and easy to install and are available direct from stock for next-day nationwide delivery.

The interlocking Jersey barriers are ideal for traffic management, flood defence, site security, rockfall, edge protection as well as for various temporary works.

Our Jersey barriers are 2500mm long and weigh 1450kg. The unique interlocking system provides incredible levels of security against unwanted visitors whilst allowing sections to be easily removed and repositioned should emergency access be required.

The barriers are available for delivery on a self-install basis using a standard forklift truck. Alternatively our experienced and fully-trained installation team can deliver and place them anytime, anywhere.
